Our most recent inspection by Ofsted took place on 11th March 2020. This latest report shows how the team worked hard to maintain Deverell Hall Preschool as "GOOD - Outstanding in Personal Development of the Children". It's a wonderful achievement to have one of the highest recognitions given by Ofsted. Key points are highlighted on this page below:

Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment is GOOD

Staff have high-quality interactions with children;
They very skilfully assess children to identify individual interests and extend learning opportunities;
Children are extremely keen to take part in all activities;
Staff are particularly good at ensuring that all parents are aware of their children's next steps of learning to support at home.

Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare are OUTSTANDING

Confidence among children at the pre-school is exceptional and staff employ highly effective methods to ensure that all children feel valued;
Children's behaviour is outstanding and they listen very carefully to adults as they follow the daily routines;
Staff skilfully teach children about the importance of healthy lifestyles, such as the need for exercise.

Effectiveness of the Leadership and Management is GOOD

Safeguarding is effective;
Staff are extremely knowledgeable about procedures to follow if they have any concerns about children's welfare;
They have excellent support from the manager to carry out their roles successfully and ensure they remain suitable to work with children.
